Answer: "Flashing" is a term used when you convert/modify a phone from one carrier to use it with another carrier. 1a.) Can I flash my phone to Cricket? A: If your phone uses CDMA (Non-Sim Card Phone with acceptions to Verizon/Spint with Sim), chances are you can. Cricket accepts the ESN's of handsets from other carriers. There are a few exceptions, however, such as if the phone is reported lost, stolen, or otherwise blacklisted. Give the phone's ESN or MEID to a customer service representative and ask if it can be activated first. 2.) IS IT LEGAL? Answer: Yes. it is 100% legal to Flash a phone. Once you buy the phone, you have the right to do whatever you want with it; It belongs to you. 3.) What is Unlocking? Answer: Unlocking is allowing you to use any GSM Sim card phone with another GSM Sim card phone network eg: Using T-Mobile on an AT&T phone 4.) Will I get Picture Message and Web on an Unlocked Phone? Answer: Some phones you can with the unlock alone, some you may need to contact your carrier and ask how to set up, or pay an additional fee for some phones that we can do such as HTC Phones and Blackberry 5.) Which Phones Can I Flash to cricket? Answer: You can flash basically anything without a SIM card with some exceptions such as you CAN flash Blackberry Storm and Tour but you cannot flash AT&T, T-Mobile Etc. One non-sim card phone you cannot flash is Virgin Mobile 6.) CAN YOU FLASH AN iPHONE TO CRICKET? Answer: Absolutely positivetly NOT! iPhones are considered GSM phones. When Verizon comes out with the CDMA iphone, THEN we can flash it to CricKet. 7.) WELL, I SAW A VIDEO OF AN iPHONE FLASHED TO CRICKET ON YOUTUBE. Answer: Go ahead. Send that guy the money and your iPhone so you can get SCAMMED. 5.) ...THEN CAN YOU FLASH A SIDEKICK TO CricKet? Answer: No, No, and No! Any phone that has a SIM CARD (AT&T, T-mobile, Movistar,Telcel) CANNOT be flashed over to CricKet. Only CDMA phones like Verizon, Helio and Sprint. Q: What Mobile Technology Does Cricket Use? A: Cricket and Jump are CDMA carriers. Some phones like the Nokia 6265i feature an R-UIM slot that looks like a GSM slot. Q: Can I flash my phone to Cricket? A: If your phone uses CDMA, chances are you can. Cricket accepts the ESN's of handsets from other carriers.
